Chellie Albers - Founder and Manufacturer

 

"After starting NDSU as an architecture major, I switched from designing buildings to designing clothing and graduated with a BA degree in Fashion Design. I spent 10 years creating special occasion gowns under the Enchanted Heart label and then was influenced by my 3 children to start designing children's clothes. My favorite part of vending at craft fairs is helping proud parents, grandparents, and aunties choose something special that perfectly reflects the personality of their little ones. I love to hear the stories of how my clothes become part of special events like 6 month portraits, 1st birthday parties and even farmer days at school! But best of all, I love meeting the little whipper-snappers in person!

 

I think the best part of the design process is shopping at my favorite fabric stores, thrift shops and even garage sales for special finds that leave me wondering "hmmmmm, what can I make out of this???" No matter what, it will always be colorful, always be playful, and always be unique! Sometimes, it will even display a slightly goofy sense of humor!

 

My free time is spent chaperoning and cheering on my children at all their marching band, show choir and 4-H activities! Being an avid reader, I feel I must read everyday, no matter how late it is when I get to bed. I love to go to movies and to the theater and my favorite TV shows are Glee, Nashville and Scandal. I live on a hobby farm just west of the twin cities in MN with my husband and two youngest children, 1 pony, 2 calves, 2 llamas and some chickens."
